Cpl. Leo B. Weiner

 

 

KILLED IN OKINAWA -- Mr. and Mrs. Harry Weiner of Geneva received word from the war department that their son, Cpl. Lee B. Weiner, was killed in action May 9 on Okinawa island. Memorial services will beheld Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church in Geneva.

Leo (not Lee) Bernard Weiner was born Oct. 11, 1920 to Harry E. and Ella Eachen Weiner. He died May 9, 1945 and is buried in Lindenwood Cemetery, Geneva, IA.

Cpl. Weiner served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division.
