CRESCO -- Howard County army and navy men recently receiving attention are as follows: Quentine Wagner of Howard county, now in the U.S. Army, recently made a flying trip over his home town of Protivin and over Cresco circling over the towns twice in his four motored U.S. bomber plane.

LT. Quentine L. Wagner Is Missing in Action

Cresco -- Word has been received from the office of the Adjutant General, Washington, D.C., addressed to Frank Kosatka of Protivin, Howard County, that his grandson, Lt. Quentine L. Wagner of the south Pacific was missing in action since July 25.

Quentine Wagner was raised in the the home of his grandfather and enlisted in the army air corps two years ago. The last letter received from him was dated July 12. No further particulars are at hand.
