Orville Otto Viether was born Oct. 11, 1923 to Henry O. and Della M. Timm Viether. He died Jan. 24, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Pvt. Viether served in World War II with the U.S. Army 143rd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division and died in the service of his country.
