Richard H. Van Diepen was born Apr. 11, 1925 to John Cornelius and Elizabeth Agnes Hohmann Van Diepen. He died Sept. 8, 1994 and is buried in East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon, IA.
Richard served in World War II with the U.S. Army 778th Tank Battalion, 8th Armored Division.
