Sgt. Edward A. Uline

 

Edward A. Uline, top sergeant in the marine air corps, has received his honorable discharge and is home with his wife and son at 2625 24th Street. He served 16 months overseas at Guadalcanal, Rendova, Manda, Bougainville and New Zealand. He was in four major battles and was awarded a presidential citation, the Admiral Halsey commendation, the Purple Heart, good conduct medal, air medal, four gold stars and the distinguished flying cross. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Uline, former resident here, now live in Venice, Cal.

Edward Axel Uline was born Sept. 29, 1919 to Edward William and Margie A. Schoeneran Uline. He died Nov. 11, 1970 in Los Angeles, CA.
