Everett Vern Tyson was born Dec. 25, 1906 to Albert “Bert" and Elvira Kimball Tyson. He died Nov. 11, 1944 and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Stuart, IA.
Pvt. Tyson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 34th Infantry Training Battalion and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the European area while serving his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster.
