S/Sgt. Norman Tvedte

 

 

Dolliver, Iowa:

S. Sgt. Norman Tvedte, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Tvedte of Dolliver, Iowa, has been awarded the air medal for meritorious achievement in aerial combat against the enemy. He is a radio operator-gunner on a Flying Fortress based in Italy. Sgt. Tvedte was a student at Morningside College when he enlisted in the air force in December 1942. He received his technical training at Scott Field, Illinois, radio school and went overseas in September, 1944.

Norman Lee Tvedte was born Dec. 1923 to Hans A. and Lottie V. Terry Tvedte. He died in 2015 and is buried in Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Newhall, CA.
