Russell L. Thorn was born Dec. 23, 1909 to Stephen Eddie and Frances Janetta Lake Thorn. He died Feb. 10, 1945 and is buried in Milo IOOF Cemetery, Milo, IA.
Pvt. Thorn served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry as a radio operator in the 1st Army, 9th Division. He was KIA in Germany.
