Roy Edward Thompson was born Dec. 1, 1921 to Glenn S. and Mildred McNally Thompson. He died June 10, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Sgt. Thompson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 358th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.
