Sgt. Harold Louis Theilen

 

 

MISSING IN GERMANY -- Pvt. Harold L. Theilen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Theilen, Rookweil, has been missing since Dec. 16, according to a message from the war department.

Pvt. Theilen left for overseas last October and was first stationed in England. The last letter received from him was written the latter part of November. He was serving with a medical detachment.

Before entering the service in April, 1943, he was employed at Decker's. Prior to that he had been with the Mueller Medical Supply company, Chicago.

Harold Louis Theilen was born Oct. 20, 1923 to Emil K. and Louisa Gerdes Theilen. He died Sept. 6, 2007.

Sgt. Theilen served in World War II with the U.S. Army’s Medical Detachment, 422nd Infantry, 106th Division and became a POW in Germany’s Stalag 4B.
