His Obituary:

Burdette Reginald Teig was born Dec. 9, 1914 to Chris and Belle Margaret Larson Teig. He died May 11, 2005 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Major Teig served with the U.S. Army in World War II from 1942-1946. He was awarded a bronze medal.

Burdette is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bernadine; daughters, Linda (Rev. Keith) Piller and Marsha (David) Stimpson; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Dr. June Teig Bailey.

He was a proud graduate of Iowa State University. Before retiring, he was employed as a planner for the City of St. Paul and regional planner for the State of Minnesota. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday at Como Park Lutheran Church, 1376 Hoyt Ave. W., St. Paul, MN.
