Melvin E. Tadlock

 

 

MEN IN SERVICE.

Lawrence P. Heck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Heck, 2601 W. 19th street; Neil R. Grimsley, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Grimsley, 113 Bluff Street; Melvin E. Tadlock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory B. Tadlock, 2516 Ridge Avenue; Gene C. Maun, son of Teresa V. Maun, and Grange W. Huff, son of Mrs. E.P. Kilker, 1612 Main Street, have been graduated from the Navy service school at Great Lakes, Illinois and are in line for promotion as third class petty officers. Heck specialized in aviation ordnance, Grimsley and Maun in radio, Tadlock in signal corps work, and Huff completed the course for torpedo men.

MEN IN SERVICE.

Seaman Second Class Melvin E. Tadlock, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Tadlock, 3021 Washington Avenue, has completed his course as a signalman at Great Lakes. He returned home recently with orders to transfer to Norfolk, Va. He is spending his leave with his wife and parents.

IN UNIFORM

Melvin Tadlock, 306 Market Street, has been promoted to radioman first class. He has been serving on a seaplane tender in the Atlantic fleet the last six months. Previously he was attached to a blimp squadron in the Caribbean war zone. His wife is the former Mary Wilson of Sioux City. They have one child, Tadlock has been in service 28 months.
