Capt. Alfred Strozdas

Capt. Alfred Strozdas has been ordered to Florida to assist Brig. Gen. A. W. Lane in opening a replacement center for 50,000 men. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strozdas, 526 S. Irene Street and a graduate of East High School and Morningside College. He enlisted in the intelligence service and received training at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana and officers training in Georgia. As second lieutenant he was ordered to report to the infantry replacement Center at Camp Roberts, California. At Camp Roberts he was designated as a special service officer and advanced to first lieutenant and placed in charge of recreation of 15,000 men. He served on the staff of the commanding officer, Brig. Gen. Lane and later was promoted to captain.
