Private Doug Stitt, son of Mrs. June Stitt, 5300 Fourth Avenue, has completed basic training at Sheppard field, Texas. Private Stitt graduated from East High School in June while at Sheppard field.

IN UNIFORM

S. Sgt. Douglas Stitt, son of Mrs. June Stitt, 3412 Fifth Avenue, is spending a leave at home after nine months of combat flying in Italy. The sergeant, a gunner on a Liberator bomber, completed 25 sorties over northern Italy, Austria and Germany. He wears the Bronze Star with two clusters. Douglas is one of four brothers who are in service. He will report to Santa Ana, California for reclassification and further duty.
