Edwin W. Steege was born June 11, 1917 to Fred Wilhelm and Caroline “Carrie” Sophia Moeller Steege. He died Sept. 13, 1944 and is buried in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, IA.
Sgt. Steege served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry, 34th Division, Co. G. He was KIA in Italy.
