Pvt. Ivan Lee Snively

 

 

Ivan Lee Snively was born Feb. 14, 1916 to Frank and Pearl Coy Snively. He died Apr. 17, 1945 and is buried in Clarinda Cemetery, Clarinda, IA. He was initially buried in the U.S. military cemetery at Pietramala.

Pvt. Snively served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. I, 361st Infantry Regiment, 91st Division and was KIA in Italy. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, American Defense ribbon, European Theater of Operations ribbon with two combat stars and the Purple Heart was posthumously awarded to his family.
