Sgt. Charles David Smith

 

 

 

Charles David Smith was born Mar. 2, 1919 to Michael David and Stella Gladys Milburn Smith. He died May 5, 2015 and is buried in the Garden of Memories, Waterloo, IA.

Charles served in the U.S. Army in World War II with Co. H, 133rd Infantry of the 34th Red Bull Division. He was overseas in North Africa and Italy. He served as a security guard for General eisenhower’s office while in Algiers, North Africa and was a Combat Infantry sergeant from Anzio Beach head north to the Apennines In Italy.
