Lial J. Shay was born Mar. 25, 1923 to Lial Charles and Hazel Ethel McClurg Shay. He died Dec. 24, 2007 and is buried in Memorial Park, Boone, IA.
Cpl. Shay served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He was stationed in Kearns, UT, Denver CO, Greensboro NC, Buffalo NY, and Chanute Field, IL.
