George Willis Shafer was born Feb. 9, 1923 to George W. and Grace McDaniel Shafer. He died Jan. 14, 2005 and is buried in Cass Center Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Private Shafer served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the Detachment Corps of Military Police, Station Complement Unit #1750.
