WAVE: Barbara Westervelt and Pvt. Speck Seney are pictured in the camp newspaper of Lawson General Hospital, under the caption “Imagine meeting you here.” They “went together” here, kept up their correspondence, and then met at Lawson where Barbara is stationed in the WAVES and Speck is almost fully recovered from a broken leg suffered in his first parachute jump.

Barton Speck Seney was born May 27, 1922 to Noel B. and Bell Speck Seney. He died Jan. 20, 2003 in North Kansas City, MO. He was a paratrooper with the U.S. Army in World War II.
