James William Schaen was born Mar. 15, 1918 to Edward and Grace Edith Doolittle Schaen. He died Sept. 27, 1944 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Lt. Schaen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 702nd Squadron, 445th Bomb Group and died in the service of his country.
