James David Samson was born Jan. 20, 1926 to James A. and Gertrude Martin Samson. He died Dec. 15, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery and Memorial, Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
Sgt. Samson served with the U.S. Army 78th Infantry Division, Co. B, 309th Infantry in World War II. He was KIA in Germany and awarded a Purple Heart.
