Sgt. Donald Hager Rutt

 

 

Donald Hager Rutt was born June 24, 1915 to Earl J. and Grayce E. Rutt. He died Jan. 3, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.

Sgt. Rutt served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 427th Bomber Squadron, 303rd Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD/KIA when the plane on which he was a crew member failed to return from a combat mission over Saint Nazari, France. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
