Michael Dennis Ratigan was born Oct. 9, 1917 to Michael and Kate Hannan Ratigan. He died Feb. 15, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia and has a cenotaph in Saint Marys Cemetery, Panama, IA.
Sgt. Ratigan served in World War II with the U.S. Army 6th Infantry, 1st Armored Division and was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
