Elmer Donald (Donny) Rydberg was born Oct. 25, 1920 to Ernest P. and Inga A. Malberg Rydberg. He died Apr. 1, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.
1st Lt. Rydberg served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 362nd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
