Capt. Charles Ryan has returned to New York City after spending a 10-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ryan.

In Medical Corps
A native Sioux Cityan, Dr. Charles Ryan, has been called into service as a first lieutenant in the army medical corps after completing his internship at the Medical center, Jersey City, N. J. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ryan, 506 Nebraska Street, said they did not know where he is stationed.

Mr. Ryan was graduated from the college of medicine at the University of Iowa in June, 1941. He was born in Sioux City in 1915 and was graduated from LeMars High School in 1932.

Dr. Charles Ryan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ryan, 506 Nebraska Street, has been promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. He was graduated from the University of Iowa and later was an intern at Jersey City, N.J. He is stationed near New York City.
