Alvin Ludwig Carl Roepke was born Feb. 6, 1912 to Wilhelm and Caroline Haak Roepke. He died July 16, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France.
Sgt. Roepke served in World War II with the U.S. Army 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division and was KIA in Normandy, France and was awarded the Purple Heart.
