Merle E. Riley was born May 11, 1922 to Glen William and Fannie McDowell Riley. He died Aug. 24, 1944 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls, IA.
Lt. Riley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 776th Bomb Squadron 464th Bomb Group and was MIA/KIA in Germany.
