Lawrence Elmo Reed was born July 28, 1914 to Ernest E. and Annie Barr Reid. He died Nov. 27, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Sgt. Reed served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 342nd Bomber Squadron, 97th Bomber Group, Heavy and was KIA on an air mission from Tunisia to Eastern Italy and was awarded the Purple Heart.
