Leo F. Pirog was born July 21, 1925 to Frank and Pauline Bilinsky Pirog. He died July 11, 1944/FOD July 12, 1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Pvt. Pirog served in World War II with the U.S. Army 746th Tank Battalion and was MIA/KIA/FOD when his tank was hit by an enemy shell and immediately burned. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
