Lieut. William F. Pinegar, son of Mrs. Eliza Pinegar, 815 E. Fifteenth st., has arrived at Perrin Field, Tex., as a basic flying instructor. Receiving his wings and commission at Altus, Okla., a month ago, Lieutenant Pinegar was in transition training at Liberal, Kan., before his transfer to Perrin Field.

Pfc. Edward H. Pinegar, 20, marine, was killed in action Feb. 19, on Iwo Jima, the navy has notified his mother, Mrs. Eliza Harlan, 1500 ½ Maple st. He was a marine raider in the 4th division.
Private Pinegar attended East High school and entered the marines in February, 1942. He was sent overseas a year ago and saw action in the Marshalls and Marianas before Iwo Jima.
Surviving, besides his mother, is a brother, Lt. William Pinegar, Denver, Colorado.

William Frank Pinegar was born Nov. 10, 1922 to J. Lee and Eliza Jane Pinegar. He died Sept. 20, 2009.
