Pfc. Clyde L. Petty




PFC Clyde L. Petty, 1118 Iowa Street, has arrived at the Borden general hospital, Chickasha, Oklahoma, states a report from the hospital. PFC Petty was with the 43d division, 192d field artillery. He was inducted August 13, 1941, left for oversea October 1, 1942 and saw action at Luzon, Solomon Island, New Guinea and the Philippines. The report state he was not wounded but suffers hearing deficiency. Overseas 30 months he wears the Philippine liberation ribbon, Purple Heart and good conduct medal. He is the son of Mrs. Winifred Carmody and attended school at Castana, Iowa.
