Storm Lake, Iowa – Wayne Peterson, 19, who has been fighting with the marines in the pacific war zone since October, telephoned his mother, Mrs. Louise Peterson, from San Diego, Cal., saying that he had been injured and is coming home on a leave soon.

Wayne Douglas Peterson was born Jan. 3, 1924 to Ramsey James and Louise Mary Coakley Peterson. He died Apr. 2, 2018 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
