Sgt. Stephen Rodney Pesuth

 

 

 

 

Stephen Rodney Pesuth was born June 15, 1919 to Stephen and Anna Sulentic Pesuth. He died Jan. 8,1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing at East Coast Memorial, Manhattan, NY.

Sgt. Pesuth served in World War II as an engineer with the U.S. Army Air Corps 6th Bomber Squadron, 29th Bomber Group, Very Heavy as a crew member aboard B-29 #42-6248, which was making a training flight from Pratt Army Air Field, Pratt, KS to Borinquen Field, Puerto Rico and ran into extreme turbulence and the plane was never seen after the flight entered the storm. He was listed as MIA; later FOD.
