Lt. Silas Clyde Pedersen

 

 

 

Silas Clyde Pedersen was born Jan. 20, 1920 to Loren C. and Meta Marie Pedersen. He died Oct. 5, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Lorraine, France.

Lt. Pedersen served in World War II with the U.S. Army 45th Infantry, 191st Tank Battalion and was KIA in France. He was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy, the Purple Heart and the French Croix de Guerre with Silver Gilt Star.
