Lt. Paul D. Pastovich





Paul D. Pastovich was born Sept. 3, 1919 to Daniel “Dan” and Anna “Annie” Caterina Braida Pastovich. He died Feb. 14, 1944 an is buried in North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia and has a cenotaph at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.

Lt. Pastovich served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 787th Bomber Squadron, 466th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA as a member of the crew of a B-24 reported missing on a flight from Brazil to Baker, French West Africa which was lost in the South Atlantic.
