Richard Wayne Palmer was born Mar. 1, 1925 to Ralph D. and Ethel M. Palmer. He died Aug. 6, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Palmer served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Bullhead (SS-332) which was sunk by air attack at the west end of Lombok Strait. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart. ~oneternalpatrol
