News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
Allison—Mrs. Donald Opperman received word Friday that her husband, Cpl. Donald Opperman, has arrived safely in England. Donald spent a furlough in Allison in February and was married to the former Mildred Anderson before going overseas.

Donald R. Opperman was born Apr. 26, 1919 to David and Dessie Watt Opperman. He died Feb. 20, 1989 and is buried in Allison Cemetery, Allison, IA.
Cpl. Opperman served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
