James Thomas Olinger was born Feb. 20, 1921 to James W. and Clara F. Olinger. He died Aug. 16, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France and has a cenotaph in Ainsworth Cemetery, Ainsworth, IA.
Lt. Olinger served in World War II with the U.S. Army Troop D, 113th Cavalry Mechanized and died while in the service of his country.
