Eugene Edward O’Neil was born Mar. 3, 1923 to Patrick Henry and Gertrude Allen Cooper O’Neil. He died Oct. 7, 1996 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Lt. O’Neil served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Western Training Command, RTU Will Rogers Field, Oklahoma City, OK and the 40th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron (CBI).
