T/5 Donald Rex Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Newton, of Grand River, Iowa, was born August 27, 1921 at Kellerton, Iowa. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 12, 1942 and served with the medical corps. T/5 Newton served in Africa and the Middle East.
