Lawrence Naeve Killed in France

Pvt. Lawrence Naeve, 23, was killed in action in France on December 3, 1944, it was announced by the War department today.   Pvt. Naeve was reported missing in action in a message received by his wife December 27th.  

Pvt. Naeve, who was graduated from Elvira High school, entered service March 20, 1944, and went overseas in August after receiving training at Camp Roberts, Calif.  

He was assigned to an infantry unit.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Naeve, Route 1.  

He is survived by his widow and parents.

Lawrence R. Naeve was born Feb. 5, 1922 to Gus H. and Lizzie Louise Schroeder Naeve. He died Dec. 3, 1944 and is buried in Elvira Cemetery, Elvira, IA.

Pvt. Naeve served in World War II with the U.S. Army 411th Infantry, Third Army and was KIA in France.
