Murray, 23 Is Missing    

Elmer L. Murray, 915 Nineteenth st., Friday was notified by the War Department that his son, Sergt. Elmer L. Murray, jr., 23, has been missing in action since June 6, in France, in the vicinity of the Vire estuary.  Sergeant Murray is a paratrooper.

A former Roosevelt High school student, young Murray moved to Inglewood, Cal., in 1936, was graduated  from Inglewood, High school, and was attending Santa Barbara State college, when he entered military service in 1942.  He went to England in 1943, after training at Fort Benning, Ga.

His mother, Mrs. Irma Murray, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Ann O’Neill, and a brother, Theodore Murray, all reside in Inglewood.  Another brother, Wendell Murray, is with the navy in the South Pacific.
