John Reed “Jack” Mellor was born Feb. 6, 1921 to Archie Ralph and Margaret Beatty Reed Mellor. He died June 1, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Lt. Mellor served in World War II with the U.S. Army 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
