Inwood, Iowa – Staff Sergeant Wayne Masterson who has been a patient in a hospital at Battle Creek, Michigan, recovering from a back injury suffered while on duty overseas, is spending a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Z. Masterson.

Wayne Z. Masterson was born Jan. 3, 1914 to William Zack and Minnie Martha Dillinger Masterson. He died Oct. 11, 1969 and is buried in Los Angeles National Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA.
