Lester Andrew Maize was born about 1915 to John O. and Edna Jamison Maize. He died July 30, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Capt. Maize served in World War II with the U.S. Army 175th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division and died while serving his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
