Maj. Maurice A Mullan

 


STAFF CHAPLAIN -- Maj. Maurice A. Mullan, veteran of 35 months overseas, has been appointed assistant staff chaplain for the army air force central flying trianing command with headquarters at Randolph field, Tex. He had been at Selman field, Monroe, La., since his return to the states last July.

A former assistant pastor of Immaculate Conception church, Cedar Rapids, Maj. Mullan was stationed at Hickam field when the Japs attacked Pearl harbor.

He later did a tour of duty with American forces in the Solomons campaign. Decorated with the bronze star for meritorious service in the Pacific campaign and also the south Pacific service medal, he was promoted to captain in 1942 and major last year.

Maj. Mullan is the son of Charles Mullan, 526 5th S.E.
