Private Morgan Wounded During African Battle

Private First Class Carl G. Morgan, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.D. Morgan, 2112 Boies Street, was wounded April 10 “while fighting somewhere in Africa.”

The Sioux Cityan, employed here by the Cudahy Packing company, entered service April 18, 1941.

He served at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana and Fort Dix, New Jersey, and left in February 1942, for Ireland. Later he was transferred to England and arrived in Africa last January.

His wife resides at 716 Park Street.
