Lowell L. Miller, son of Mrs. Ann Miller, 2935 Washington Avenue, has been promoted from private first class to the rank of technical sergeant in the army signal corps. Sergeant Miller is stationed at Morris field, North Carolina.

Memorial Service Planned for Sgt. Lowell L. Miller

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 o’clock Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Ann Miller, 904 S. Helen Street, for a son, T. Sgt. Lowell L. Miller, 25, member of the army air force signal corps, who was killed in action October 30, on Leyte Island. He entered service May 6, 1942, and received training at the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute at Washington and at a telephone school in Philadelphia. Officiating will be Rev. C.H. Kamphoefner.

Sgt. Miller was stationed in New Guinea 13 months. He was last home on furlough in August 1943.
