Olin Eugene Meyers was born June 15, 1911 to Harvey and Grace H. Hill Meyers. He died Oct. 24, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.
Pvt. Meyers served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. L, 31st Infantry and was KIA in in the South China Sea. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
